1. Introduction
Art Shaastr products are handcrafted and should be handled with care. Proper care helps maintain finish, structure, shine, depth, and visual beauty for a longer period. These instructions apply to Jain art panels, frames, murtis, murals, sculptures, glass work, MDF work, resin/fiber work, marble work, and custom sacred creations.
2. General Care
● Keep the product in a clean and dry place.
● Use a soft dry cloth for regular cleaning.
● Avoid rough wiping, abrasive cloth, or hard brushing.
● Avoid water exposure, heavy moisture, seepage walls, and damp storage.
● Avoid direct heat, harsh sunlight for long hours, and chemical exposure.
● Avoid unstable wall mounting, impact, pressure, or dropping.
● Handle the product with clean and dry hands where possible.
3. Cleaning Instructions
Use
● Soft dry microfibre cloth.
● Gentle feather duster.
● Clean, dry cotton cloth.
Avoid
● Wet cloth unless specifically suitable for the material.
● Soap water.
● Glass cleaner on non-glass artwork surfaces.
● Chemical polish.
● Alcohol-based cleaner.
● Abrasive scrubber.
● Pressure cleaning or spray cleaning.
4. For Frames and Panels
● Install only on a stable wall.
● Avoid seepage-prone, damp, or freshly painted wet walls.
● Avoid direct water contact and excessive kitchen smoke or steam.
● Use soft warm lighting for better visual effect.
● Do not place heavy objects on the artwork or panel.
● Avoid pressing on embossed, carved, or delicate areas.
5. For Statues/Murtis
● Clean gently with a soft dry cloth.
● Avoid acidic cleaners, harsh chemicals, or abrasive powders.
● Avoid turmeric, kumkum, oil, or coloured liquids unless the product is specifically meant for such ritual usage.
● Do not drag the murti on rough surfaces.
● Lift carefully from the base and keep on a stable platform.
● Avoid sudden temperature changes or impact.
6. For Resin, Fiber, MDF, and Mixed-Media Products
● Keep away from water, moisture, and seepage.
● Avoid direct harsh sunlight for long hours.
● Do not use chemical polish or solvent-based cleaners.
● Avoid impact or pressure on embossed areas.
● Keep away from sharp objects and excessive heat.
7. For Toughened Glass Products
● Clean gently with a dry or slightly damp microfibre cloth only when required.
● Do not spray cleaner directly on the artwork.
● Avoid pressure on corners and edges.
● Ensure secure installation with proper hooks, brackets, or wall hardware.
● Handle with extra care during shifting or installation.
8. Lighting Guidance
● Warm focus lights usually enhance gold work, embossed detailing, and 3D depth.
● Avoid placing high-heat lights too close to the artwork.
● Maintain a safe distance between the light source and the product.
● Do not expose the product to overheating, direct flame, or unsafe electrical fittings.
9. Installation Care
● Use proper wall anchors, screws, hooks, or brackets based on product size and weight.
● Check wall strength before installation.
● For large, heavy, glass, marble, or premium products, use professional installation support.
● Art Shaastr is not responsible for damage caused by improper installation, weak walls, wrong hardware, mishandling, or environmental conditions.
10. Storage Before Installation
● Keep the product in original packaging until installation.
● Store in a dry and safe place.
● Avoid stacking heavy items on it.
● Keep away from water, rodents, dust, sunlight, and heat.
● Keep fragile products upright where required.
